Rolling pins! Checkered, walnut, and maple, oh my!

Bowls and Serving Platters
Uptown Art Fair is this weekend! The dynamic duo of Benjamin and Rachel (partner) will be working the booth, while family watches our daughter and the wunder dog. The hours are long - Friday, noon - 8 PM; Saturday, 10 AM - 8 PM; and Sunday, 10 AM - 5 PM - so lots of time to explore and get to know our market neighbors.
We'll be bringing our usual market fare (as seen in the pics to the left), including spoons, spatulas, and other utensils, as well as cutting boards and bowls. My Minnesota work includes new pieces made from "Manitoba Maple" - maple wood with beautiful pink tones imbued throughout each piece. I've crafted new arts and crafts-inspired tables for my display - a hint of the furniture pieces I'll be doing this fall.
We're feeling a healthy mix of nerves, excitement, and gratitude as we approach the weekend festivities. We have no idea what to expect in terms of traffic, parking, etc. We do know that hundreds of amazing artists will be there - and we're grateful to be included. We're looking forward to meeting new people and experiencing the second-largest, annual Minnesota gathering (after the State Fair!)
