I recently designed a small spoon and bowl set for a client. Am reminded of how fortunate I am to be able to be creative each day in service to others. Finding inspiration by seeking ways to minimize wood waste and bring out the best in each piece of wood.

Hello from Northfield! Signs abound that winter may be approaching an end. Not sure if this was a typical winter, but we'll take it. Not too bad at all!
I am happy to be participating in Girlfriend's Day Out tomorrow (February 20) at Sargent's Nursery in Red Wing, Minnesota. It's a smaller show - plan ahead and reserve your place! Meanwhile, I've been busily turning bowls out of fallen trees - had some spectacular success with maple, walnut, and cherry figure. Happy to discover the unique drying times, etc. of the wood here. I'm also gearing up for April's ACC show. I'm redesigning a number of utensils and adding additional pieces to my repertoire. So glad to be finally at the point where I can be creating some of the pieces that clients have asked for over the years. For instance, yesterday, I created a risotto spoon - it works like a dream. As always, here to serve and happy to meet your gift-giving needs. |
