This week, my family and I are moving into our new home in Northfield, MN. We are feeling incredibly lucky to have found a place in the charming city for our daughter to grow and thrive, our dog to explore, and for our family to be part of a vibrant community.
Today we hung our art...for the first time in our lives, we are discovering that we have more wall space than pictures. And, we have lots of space for new furniture. Hooray! I'll be setting up a "bungalow room" in the house to display my furniture pieces. My goal will be to have functional, comfortable pieces that are elegant and true to the spirit of the arts and crafts movement. I'll be at Saturday's Riverwalk Market. It's going to be a busy weekend - with lots of great vendors! Hope to see many of you then. And, starting to prepare for the Uptown Art Fair - August 6 - 8. Second largest fair in Minnesota after the State fair. Mark your calendars - it should be grand.

Riverwalk Market was hopping this weekend. The good people of Northfield and visitors from all over the country seem to have discovered the market's idyllic setting - along a river, one block from mainstreet, with homemade goods and handmade crafts.
Over the past few weeks at the market, I've tasted some of the finest honey and maple syrup in my life, am enjoying lots of homemade baked goods, and have found a source for delicious sugar cookies for daughter Ruby, who loves to eat the frosting first. I'm thrilled that people are appreciating my work - lots of it is going to newlyweds as gifts. I finished another batch of the checkered french rollers this week - an have listed them for sale on Etsy.com...we will see how that goes! Until next time, be well! Had another good weekend with the good people of Northfield at Riverwalk market. Feeling truly grateful to have found a new home at the market. I'm working hard to get ready for the Uptown Art Fair the first weekend in August. Until then, I'll be at Riverwalk every Saturday.
As always, I'm easily reachable by phone or email for your summer gifts! And, starting to gear up for furniture making again - Limbert inspired pieces. Going to reinvent my Studio Niche website to highlight new pieces. |
