Large wood salad bowl, #2242S, 17" solid cherry, handmade from a fallen treehouse tree.
Our area was hit by tornadoes at the end of September this year. It felled many, many trees. One which had held up a tree house. We were able to salvage a portion, including this section that shows the nail holes from the ladder (now resin-filled). The nails also colored the grain (note the dark markings). A truly unique bowl with a story!
Smooth finish. Green hand turned oval shaped bowl with level rim.
17'' long X 16 5/8'' wide x 5 1/2'' tall. Rim is 3/4'' thick. This is the one you will receive. Multiple coats of an FDA approved hardening oil makes a very durable and low maintenance finish. Touch up instructions provided with purchase. Great price on an exceptional bowl.
Cannon River Bowl & Spoon takes immense pride in using salvaged and reclaimed locally sourced woods.
General Care & Maintenance:
Hand wash (do not soak or place in dishwasher) with soap and water. Towel dry immediately. To condition, apply Howard's Butcher Block Conditioner as per directions after the first three uses. Reapply when water no longer beads on the wood surface when washing.
